Online Auctions24 sells vehicles, machinery, property and equipment by public auction, on behalf of the people who own them. This page sets out who runs it, what we undertake in writing, and what we deliberately do not do.
Online Auctions24 is an administrator-managed online auction platform, operating in Rwanda and open to buyers abroad. It is the auction platform of Cyamunara Rwanda Ltd, a private company registered in Kigali.
Administrator-managed is the important half of that. There is no self-service listing and no automated onboarding: a member of our staff prepares each lot, agrees its opening price and increment with the seller, publishes its terms, and speaks to each bidder on the telephone before that bidder can bid at all.
Sellers are companies replacing assets, banks, insurers, public institutions, development partners, UN agencies and other organisations carrying out a formal disposal — alongside private sellers with a single vehicle or plot.
Buyers are anyone we have verified. Registration is open to Rwandan and international bidders alike, and the catalogue, the bidding rules and the closing time are the same for all of them.
Most of what an auction platform can promise is already written down. Ours is published as the Public Auction Regulation Code, alongside our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy, and it commits us in writing to the following.
They are conditions in the database rather than intentions on a page. A bid is refused unless the bidder's email is confirmed, their telephone number has been approved by our staff, and they have recorded acceptance of that lot's terms. Bids cannot be edited or deleted afterwards by anybody, including us. Approvals, payments and handovers are append-only records with the staff member and the time attached, and no single member of staff can carry a lot from listing to release on their own.
A request that bypasses this website entirely meets exactly the same refusals, which is what makes the claim worth making.
Some of these will be a surprise if you have bought at auction elsewhere. Each is deliberate, and it is better read here than discovered on a lot you have bid on.
Cyamunara is the Kinyarwanda word for a public auction. It is also the name of a government auction portal, which makes the two easy to confuse, so it is worth stating plainly: Cyamunara Rwanda Ltd is a private company and Online Auctions24 is its own platform. We are not a government body and we do not act for one unless a public institution has appointed us to sell a specific lot, in which case the auction notice for that lot says so.
The commitments above are quoted from our Public Auction Regulation Code, which governs every auction on this platform. It sits alongside our Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you are evaluating us for an institutional disposal, what we can demonstrate to an evaluator sets out the controls in detail, and we would rather be checked against a live system than against a brochure.

Everything above is either published in our legal documents, enforced in our systems, or on the company register — because an auction platform asking for money it does not yet hold has to be checkable, and the parts of this that cannot be demonstrated are the parts we have left out.
